I had been cool with The Black Sunn on twitter for a while & then I met him in person when we were both invited to George Washington University Radio’s “Funkadelic Freestyles” annual show to end the semester. It’s rare when someone you think is dope is just as dope if not doper in person. (lots of dope usage…no pun intended). Either way, homie’s cool as hit, he & 810 both spit so, it’s understandable why i posted the video. Peep it.

This is easily one of the trillest, dopest, most underground, gangsterest (not a word), & most revolutionary movies known to humanity. This movie isn’t known by very many people but, it’s so dope. It’s so dope in fact that this is my 2nd time posting it. I have a few “conscious” or “revolutionary” friends who surprisingly haven’t even seen or heard of it. So, this is not only for them but, you as well. This movie is a buried gem, which is sad because had this movie been more prominent, we’d probably had our own revolution. That’s a topic for another day, though. Oh yea, did I mention it was scored by Herbie Hancock? Yeah, that! ENJOY.

I’m not sure who this dude is but, he’s clearly the man. Clearly. I’m not a big Foamposite fan, not ’cause they’re not dope but, ’cause everyone & their mama has them. I won’t lie though, reading this made me want to get a pair. Shouts to the girl he’s texting, too. She kept it G as fugg. Lololol.

I heard of Esperanza Spalding a couple years ago but, never looked into her work because her name made her sound like she was 80 years old. Then, after seeing her at the Grammies I was absolutely blown away. Ms. Spalding made it into my “Girls I Like” thread because not only is she stunningly beautiful but, she’s also incredibly talented. Not only as a vocalist, she’s also a multi-instrumentalist who can play anything from her signature Bass, to piano, guitar, clarinet, & oboe. Women like her are true inspirations for creativity & we need more sisters like her. Props to you Esperanza, this is why you’re a “Girl I Like”.

I first heard the young homie Avion‘s track a while ago on a video of one of our events & thought he was dope as shit. So dope in fact that I featured him on 2 tracks on my mixtape both of those being “Mothership” and “Pass The Doobie“. I believe those tracks might even be on this tape, as well. Long story short, he’s dope & definitely worth listening to.
