Even though I grew up in South Florida, I never really knew it for it’s artistic side. South Florida’s mostly known for it’s beautiful weather & highly publicized party scene but, not so much for being on the cutting edge of street art & culture. A couple years ago, I went with a friend named Deezy to a place called Wynwood that I had never heard of before. When I went in 2011, everything was locked up or fenced off & no one was legally allowed to check anything out. Of course we broke the rules, snuck inside the fences & went rumbling around. The insane graffiti we saw & raw artistic energy in the air was insane. Little did I know that just a couple years later, Wynwood would be the hub of the worlds artsy & celebrity elite. This time around Wynwood & Miami’s Art District had come alive & had attracted hundreds of thousands if not more to check out the scene. I had a dope time, went to a few dope parties, & kicked it with a lot of good friends. I’ll definitely be back next year to enjoy the festivities.

This is the latest project by the homies The Intelligence Boys (Vaughn Garcia & Nate G.) & Rock Creek Lee. This entire album was recorded downstairs at Art Under Pressure & I even had the opportunity to spit on a couple of these tracks ( 5 Gold Rings & Cherish). I’ve listened to it a few times & I can honestly say it was cool to vibe out to. Lots of dope jams that were organically crafted by dope homies. Check it out.

The young god Chick Gaynor just dropped his most recent project called LORD $LUG & I can legitimately say I like what I hear. I see the musical progression from the homie $LUG GAWD not only as a musician but as a person. This album can be vulgar, beautiful, rude, controversial, passionate, stupid, & genius, all at the same time. I think that description pretty much encompasses us as a society in general. #HIGHLIFE is actually the very 1st track I recorded & engineered myself with the new studio gear. Definitely about to get way wavier with it as time progresses but the track’s been getting mad love. The song is a sample from my favorite band N*E*R*D of one of their illest jams called “Bobby James” & was produced by the young god rMell. He actually gave me the beat like 2 years ago & I think I kinda had to live a little more life to write the lyrics it deserved. This is the latest video by my girl KELOW for her 2 records ‘Turbosteeze‘ & ‘Pink Cookies‘ off her latest project The Stixxx-N-Stones EP. The video goes dumb hard & gives you 2 sides of who she is. I’ve been a friend of KELOW‘s for a minute & watched her grow as an artist. This new shit is crazy dope & her upcoming project ‘Thugasauras‘ is set to be even iller. Peep the visuals below.

This is a new jam from the Grammy Family homies Matt McGhee, rMell, & Jaylen! called ‘Get A Grip‘. This is a smooth ass record with a beautiful horn sample balanced out with a trill ass southern sample. The boy Jaylen! went dumb (as usual) on the production while Matt & rMell lyrically flex on these niggas as only they can. Peep the new jam below.

Peace peeps. Since it’s Christmas, I figured I’d give you guys a gift & drop this new record called “FREEDOM“. This is probably one of the most personal songs I’ve ever written. I’ve gone through a few things this year, lost a few friends, severed a few relationships, & went through a few trials & tribulations, & I feel that all in all, everything’s made me stronger. This song was me “FREEING” myself from all the drama, bad blood, & whatever else I may have experienced not just this year but ever. 2012 has been a major transitional period for me, as well as a learning experience. The lesson learned was, Freedom isn’t found, it’s created.

Yo! This is the my latest video for the 2nd single off #TheBlackVelvetEP called ‘NO LOBSTER‘. We randomly decided to shoot this video one chilly night on Georgia Avenue in the heart of Uptown DC. I directed & edited the video, my homies Trei & Nate G. looked out on the camera work, & my girl Mi$fit Marti helped me flesh out the idea as we were shooting.
