The young god Aceology came through in the clutch with the Chopped & Screwed version of FREEDOM. People fell in love with the Chopped & Screwed version of The Black Velvet EP & kept requesting that I do the same thing with my last track so that’s exactly what I did. It turned out hella trill too. Peep.

This is my latest project in partnership with the homie BAZE titled #TheBlackVelvetEP. I dropped this a couple weeks ago & just got around to throwing it up on my own website lol. SMH. Either way, I released the project a couple days before my birthday, just as a fun project for people to have & the response ended up being incredible. For those of you who don’t know, Grande Marshall is not only one of the illest spitters currently on the rise, he’s also one of the realest people I’ve had the opportunity to know. Last time I kicked it with him in Philly, he gave me a run down of the Philly music scene, the street, the art, the culture, it’s relation to the current spectrum, & subconsciously even gave me a pretty dope glimpse of where he fit in the mix of it all. It’s dope to me when I can connect a person with their art & it’s genuine. He said something to me that I’ll never forget “You don’t have to be a street nigga to be a real nigga”. I couldn’t have said it any better. After having a killer set at last weekend’s Trillectro festival, he hits us with his latest project titled “800″. Roll up some good, & let this ride out.

Today I lost not only a brother but, a friend, colleague, & inspiration. My brother Avionadramida passed away due to medical complications & the shockwaves are being felt by our entire group of friends, family, & listeners. Avion was not only a teenage rap phenomenon, he was a comedic genius, prodigy, & had a passion for life & his craft that was unmatched. Let his memory & life be a shining example to us all not to take our lives for granted & to shine our lights properly.

I remember the 1st time I heard his song “Android 17″ & saying to myself “Yo, who tf is this kid?”. I ended up doing a show w/ him & the rest of The Klan & that was the beginning of an incredible era that is sill far from over. He was a genuinely a good dude & I’m honored to have known him. Thank you for your presence & the time we shared baby bro. Endless respect & honor.
